Geospatial Solutions Engineer · Ex-Founder · Remote

I build the tools spatial
data should become.

Eight years turning GIS, drone, and remote-sensing problems into shipped software for engineering, energy, legal, and environmental clients. I sit with the customer, find the decision they are trying to make, and build the thing that lets them make it.

  • 8+ yrsclient delivery, end to end
  • 20+clients across 7 sectors
  • #1remote sales, 4 MA teams

Selected work

A deliverable is rarely a picture. It is usually software, a measurement, or an exhibit someone makes a decision on.

Facade Inspection Viewer

NYC FISP facade inspection deliverable. A custom Python and HTML viewer that indexes annotated RGB and thermal defects to each building face and an engineering drawing grid.

  • Python
  • HTML / CSS
  • Drone capture

Replaced a manual reporting process with a repeatable, production-proven pipeline.

Web Mapping

Conservation & Hostel Web Maps

Live, multi-location web maps on Supabase and Leaflet: a conservation parcel monitoring map for a land coalition, and a hostel-network map, both served from a Postgres/PostGIS backend through a clean front end.

  • Supabase / PostGIS
  • Leaflet
  • JavaScript

Shipped end to end, from data model to deployed front end. Expandable across locations.

Railroad Corridor Mapping

Right-of-way corridor map sheets with protected environmental zones (wetlands and buffer zones) rendered as AutoCAD underlays, so rail engineering crews can work within regulatory limits.

  • QGIS
  • MassGIS layers
  • GeoTIFF / CAD

Field-ready compliance overlays delivered across multiple regional and national rail corridors.

What I bring to a team

Customer-facing depth

Scoping, proposals, demos, onboarding, and retention. I have run the full customer cycle as the person responsible for the outcome.

I actually build

Custom Python and web tools, automated reporting, and interactive maps. AI-assisted development, with the ability to read and fix the code.

Geospatial expertise

GIS, remote sensing, photogrammetry, and drone data at an expert level, across regulated and high-stakes domains.

Translation

I turn technical capability into plain language for buyers, engineers, attorneys, and boards, then back into something that ships.

About

I am a geospatial solutions engineer and former founder. For eight years I ran a geospatial consulting practice as a solo operator, which meant I sold the work, scoped it, built it, and delivered it. I have an M.S. in Geography with a focus on GIS and remote sensing, a B.A. in Philosophy, and an FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate.

I am looking for a remote Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, or Implementation role where deep geospatial knowledge and the ability to build are both an advantage.
